李秀，女，彝族，1943年生，云南石屏人。云南省文史研究馆馆员，中央文史馆书画院研究员，中国少数民族美术促进会副会长，首届中国版协理事，第四届中国美协理事，国家一级美术师。作品入选第六、七、八、九届全国美展及第六、七、八、九、十、十二、十三届全国版画展，并多次选入国家重大画展，上百件作品在国外展出，并由中国美术馆、联合国教科文组织及美、英、澳、日等多国博物馆收藏。两次获得全国美展优秀作品奖，一次全国版画铜奖，三次获中国少数民族百花美展金奖。《美术》、香港《美术家》、《中国妇女》、《中国建设》及中央新闻电影制片厂作过专题介绍，数十件作品编入国家级重大画册，出版过《李秀版画集》、《李秀作品集》。 Li Xiu Li Xiu, female, of Yi nationality, born in Shiping, Yunnan Province in 1943, is an expert of the Yunnan Institute for Traditional Sinology, a researcher of Painting and Calligraphy Academy of the Central Research Institute of Culture and History, vice president of Chinese Ethnic Groups Arts Promotion Association, director of the 1st Chinese Print Association as well as of the 4th Chinese Artists Association, National First Class Artist. Her works have been selected for the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th National Arts Exhibitions and the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th National Print Exhibitions as well as many other important National Arts Exhibitions. Hundreds of her works have been on show abroad, and collected by the National Arts Gallery, and by UNICEF, and museums of the USA, Britain, Australia and Japan. She won Honorable Outstanding Works Prizes of the National Arts Exhibitions twice, bronze prize of National Print Competition once, and gold prizes of Chinese Ethnic Groups Arts Exhibitions three times. Magazines like Arts, Artists (Hong Kong), Chinese Women, China Reconstruction have made special coverage on her, even Central News & Film Production Factory had a special report about her. Dozens of her works are included in important national arts albums. Her published albums are Li Xiu Print Album and A Collection of Li Xiu' s Works.
